Defend free bus and tram travel for the under-18s

I'm supporting Ken a lot this evening. The Tories want to stop free bus and tram travel for under-18s. Transport poverty is a genuine issue and the parlous condition in which people on benefits or the minimum wage must live merely emphasies that. You will remember Michael Portillo just about living for a week as a single mum. In that time, he didn't have any extraordinary expenses - birthdays, the boiler breaking, a funeral, whatever.

I have in the past been accused of being able to spend other people's money because I don't pay tax. Well, now do, and I am very happy for my taxes to be spent on alleviating transport poverty and making it easier for people to get to school.
