Minimum wage reduces sick leave
Today's UK version of the Financial Times reports that the introduction of the minimum wage has reduced the amount of sick leave taken by the lowest paid, with positive effects both for them, their employers and UK plc..Although this is fairly intuitive - wealth and health correlate and people are less likely to pull a sickie if they have some feeling of appreciation from their employer - I've not heard it mentioned before.
